Hamelaha printmakers Workshop is a print studio as well as a cultural center for art and design operating in Tel Aviv. The studio was founded by Jacob Ben Cohen and Sagi Ashin in 2010 and is tucked away in South Tel Aviv in a quaint 50’s workshop.
The vision of the workshop is to preserve, develop and improve the the traditional techniques of manual printing by attracting the public and artists alike as well as designers closer to the world of manual printmaking.
Since it’s induction, the studio has become a hub for well know artists and general public from all over Israel and Europe and as far as South Africa. The workshop functions as a teaching center for printmaking and offers a wide variety of courses and workshops, scholastic teachings in design, gallery exhibitions and
highlighting special occassions dedicated to specific artists and their works.
Both amatuer, novice and well seasoned artists enjoy the freedom to mingle
and share with each other a unique environment and encouraging a melting pot of creativity.
The workshop space is open spaced, the intention is to allow both seasoned designer and first time beginners to share the space. Any individual may rent their printing station, equipment and materials, from the base process of the artwork till the
completed and finished manually printed piece.
At Hamelaha Workshop we provide two grand open spaces that are fully set up with up to date equipment necessary for all your hand printing methods, projects and artworks and our gallery offers the ideal location to display artists works,
and host opening nights and exhibitions.
